Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, including the ability to read and interpret schematics, operate power tools, and work with various voltage systems. This role involves working on construction sites and renovation projects, ensuring that all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Work on construction sites to ensure proper electrical setups for new builds and renovations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including handymen and contractors, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and NEC standards during all electrical work.
  • Perform low voltage and high voltage installations as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.

Requirements

  • Electrician Certification # Required.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and high voltage applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters.
  • Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
  • Valid electrician’s license or certification is preferred.
